Wow! What a May we have had at Strathalbyn Conveyancing.
Firstly, after years of study, Karen is now licenced as a Registered Conveyancer. This is an exciting time, as this has culminated in studying all aspects of Conveyancing and legal requirements for the Land Registry System in South Australia. Karen is friendly, meticulous and looks forward to assisting you in your next property transaction.
Secondly, Nicole attended the National Conference for the Australian Institute of Conveyancers in Sydney, learning about shaping our future as Conveyancers and adapting to meet the evolving needs of the industry and our clients. There were many key take home points; from the knowledge and experience of the speakers, to the ability to network with fellow like-minded peers from around the country.
The main strategy that hit home was the importance of looking after ourselves both physically and mentally. Building confidence in ourselves and considering “what’s the worst that can happen” when delving out of our comfort zone and embracing opportunities to maximise our potential.
A lot also needs to be said for changing the tape in your head and having a positive outlook. We also learnt about “Gen Z” who are typically people born from the mid-1990s to the early 2000’s and how to lead, manage and engage the generation. We live in a fast paced environment and putting effort into culture and appreciation doesn’t go unnoticed.
Various other issues and interrupters were discussed at the Conference including Bitcoin and Blockchain and making us aware of the impact this may have, in the future, for the Property Industry.
Important information was also given on the increasing number of illicit drug houses and why it is a problem to our health and what you can do about it. The Gala Dinner concluded the Conference with a Star Wars theme (being May the 4th), it was pleasing to see a strong SA contingent attend the Conference and it was noted that they love to dress up! See our Facebook page for photos.
Thirdly, we are proud to have gained our PEXA certification, acknowledging that we are a valued member of Australia’s E-Conveyancing network and are proficient and experienced in completing electronic settlements.
